Xabi Alonso believes Marco Palestra has all the qualities required to become an important player for Chelsea during the 2026/27 season, with the new signing already making a strong impression on his manager.

So he has this option, this energy.
‘He’s something different, maybe not that common here, but in Italy it’s quite common.’

Atletico’s interest comes amid uncertainty surrounding their forward line, with Alexander Sorloth dealing with injury and continued speculation surrounding Julian Alvarez.
Jackson returned to Chelsea this summer following a season-long loan at Bayern Munich. Although the Senegal international was largely used as a substitute behind Harry Kane, he still managed 11 goals in 34 competitive appearances. CHELSEA, however, are looking to reduce an oversized squad and Jackson has reportedly been made available for transfer.
