Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has dominated against the Chicago Sky this season, and it was more of the same on Sunday. Clark racked up 37 points (13-24 FG), three rebounds, 10 assists, and one steal to lead the Fever to a 113-90 win over the Sky at Wintrust Arena.
Clark drilled a career-high eight three-pointers on the night, and certainly managed to impress Philadelphia 76ers superstar LeBron James in the process. James shared the 24-year-old’s highlights on his Instagram story with a simple two-word message.
“Bang bang,” James wrote.

There is this notion that fans and fellow WNBA players don’t give Clark the respect she deserves, but no one can ever accuse James of that. The 41-year-old started supporting her even before she reached the pros.
James congratulated Clark when she became the NCAA’s all-time scoring leader in March 2024. The 22-time All-Star then backed her to shine after she struggled a bit at the start of her WNBA career. To say she is shining now might be an understatement.
Clark, the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, has been outstanding in this 2026 season, averaging 22.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. She is an MVP candidate, and this latest masterclass led to the Fever improving to 25-14. They have already booked their spot in the playoffs and are aiming for a strong finish to the regular season.
As for the Sky, this loss dropped them to 15-23, and they have been eliminated from the playoff race. This has turned into yet another disappointing campaign.
The Fever swept the season series with the Sky 3-0 with this win, and Clark is a big reason why. The three-time All-Star averaged 31.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 10.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game against them this season.
Clark certainly finds additional motivation when facing the Sky. Sunday’s clash was the second of a back-to-back, but she still found a way to dominate.
The Sky had actually led 51-50 at halftime here, but the Fever took over in the second half. They notably limited the hosts to just 13 points in the fourth quarter to snap a two-game losing streak.
The Fever will take on the Connecticut Sun next on Friday while the Sky face the same opponents on Tuesday.
LeBron James On Why He Has Supported Caitlin Clark From Day One
For those wondering why James has supported Clark, the answer is very simple. He can relate to what she’s gone through. James once spoke on why he respects Clark and supported her from day one.
“I have a great deal of respect for Caitlin Clark, because I know exactly what it means to be drafted, be the face of a franchise, and also get the scrutiny from a lot of people that don’t believe you’re ready for the next jump, don’t believe you’re ready for the big leagues, and just don’t think that you belong,” James said. “And I remember that when I came into the league at eighteen years old, how many people doubted me and hoped and prayed that I’d fail.
“And so, me watching Caitlin and seeing what she’s doing, I’ve been in support of her since day one, because I remember myself going through that, and she has my support 100 percent,” James continued. “She’s a transcendent player. And obviously we all saw that at Iowa, and I knew that it would translate to the big leagues. And she’s an unbelievable talent. It’s great to watch.”
Clark is grateful to James for all his support. She said he understands the microscope she’s under and is always trying to help her. It’s a beautiful relationship.
