Leeds United are still looking at making more signings after their impressive win on the opening day of the Premier League season against Nottingham Forest. Anton Stach's late free-kick sealed the points with new signings Harry Wilson, James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic in the starting XI.
Defender Nico Elvedi was also on the bench just days after his move was made official with focus now on strengthening other positions. Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk has been a target ever since it was confirmed that he was free to play football again after being banned for a doping violation.
The Whites have seen an opening proposal rebuffed by the Blues who have also made a huge decision on any further offers from Elland Road. Daniel Farke also appears to be looking at a midfield addition with 18-year-old Matias Orozco, who plays for Deportivo Cali in Colombia on their radar but also of interest to Liverpool.
With all of that being said, Leeds Live has taken a look at the latest updates on those two players who could both join the club before the transfer window ends.
Mudryk twist
Chelsea are no longer considering loaning Mudryk to Leeds United, as per our sister-title football.london.
A number of European and Premier League clubs are keen with Strasbourg still an option, and Mudryk is believed to want to stay in the Premier League as a priority.
But Elland Road will seemingly not be where he is playing his football this season.
Xabi Alonso was asked about his future recently and hinted that an exit may not be sanctioned until the final days of the summer window.
He said: “We will see, we still have time to decide, and we don't have to rush on many decisions and at the right time we will take them, at the moment not yet.”

LeedsLive says: The club are interested in Mudryk but he is one of several options club chiefs admire. It is a loan, rather than a permanent move, that is being considered.
Farke and Co. are seeking a new left-sided attacking addition before the window closes and Ukrainian Mudryk is on their list of potential captures. It looks as though Leeds will now have to look at their alternatives.
Liverpool race changes rapidly
One of Leeds or Liverpool look set to sign Orozco imminently, according to local journalist Mariano Olsen via Sport Witness.
Brentford looked to be in pole position to sign the teenager having made a formal approach.
However, Olsen has stated that they are not the English club set to sign him in the coming hours and that either Leeds or Liverpool are his most likely destinations.
Leeds Live says: "With one of oldest squads on average in the Premier League, it is perhaps no surprise that Leeds are looking to bring in some younger players.
"However, if Orozco does join, he is unlikely to stay or play a prominent role given the options available to Farke in that position."
