LeBron James sends two-word message after Caitlin Clark’s career night image

Caitlin Clark’s spectacular performance against the Chicago Sky caught the attention of one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Philadelphia 76ers superstar LeBron James celebrated Clark’s career night by sharing a post about the Indiana Fever guard on his Instagram Story.
James added a two-word message to the post.
“BANG BANG,” James wrote.
It was a short reaction, but Clark’s performance deserved every bit of the attention it received. The three-time WNBA All-Star finished with 37 points, 10 assists, three rebounds and one steal in Indiana’s 113-90 victory over Chicago on Sunday. She shot 13-of-24 from the field and made a career-high eight 3-pointers in 12 attempts.
Clark’s previous career high was seven made 3-pointers, a mark she had reached three times.
Clark produces another historic performance
Clark did more than establish a personal shooting record. Sunday marked the fifth time in her WNBA career that she recorded at least 30 points and 10 assists in the same game. The rest of the players in league history have combined for four such performances.
Clark also teamed with Kelsey Mitchell to make history. Mitchell finished with 30 points while connecting on six 3-pointers. Clark and Mitchell became the first pair of teammates in WNBA history to each score at least 30 points and make six triples in the same game, according to the Fever’s official recap.
Indiana made a franchise-record 18 shots from beyond the arc while shooting 52.6 percent from the field. The offensive explosion helped the Fever snap a two-game losing streak and end their five-game road trip with an important victory. Indiana improved to 25-14 and remained in contention for a top-four playoff seed.
The Fever also eliminated Chicago from postseason contention and extended their winning streak over the Sky to nine games dating back to 2024.

James continues to support Clark
This was not the first time James publicly praised Clark. The four-time NBA champion has repeatedly defended her against excessive criticism and celebrated her accomplishments since she entered the WNBA. He sent Clark an encouraging message before her second professional season and later welcomed her back after an injury absence.
James also showed his support after Clark scored a franchise-record 45 points earlier this season. His latest reaction demonstrates just how far Clark’s influence reaches. One of basketball’s most recognizable stars was watching as she produced another historic performance on a national stage.
Clark has reciprocated that respect. She previously referred to James as the greatest basketball player of all time and has spoken highly of the way he handled enormous expectations throughout his career. That connection makes James’ latest message more meaningful than an ordinary social media repost.
Clark has faced extraordinary pressure since entering the WNBA, but she continues to deliver performances capable of stopping the basketball world.
