Ex-Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is set to complete his move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, where he will reunite with former Anfield teammate Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is poised to be reunited with former Liverpool colleague Fabinho at Trabzonspor as the Brazilian edges closer to completing his transfer.
The midfielder enjoyed a five-year spell at Anfield, having arrived 12 months after Salah in 2018. The Champions League victor subsequently departed Liverpool in 2023 to embark on a fresh challenge in the Saudi Pro League, signing for Al-Ittihad.
Fabinho secured a league title and a cup triumph during the 2024/25 campaign before his contract expired this summer. After weeks of conjecture regarding his destination, it has now been announced that the 32-year-old midfielder will link up with Trabzonspor.
The Turkish team released footage of Fabinho sporting the club's strip while aboard a private jet.
In the footage, he is heard saying: "A familiar face is waiting for me in Trabzon and I am on my way."
Prior to finalizing terms, Fabinho was photographed in Madrid, prompting rumors about his future destination.

Following Brazil's elimination from the World Cup at the hands of Norway in the last 16, the former Monaco player headed directly to the Spanish capital to spend time with relatives and companions.
When questioned about his intentions for the forthcoming season, he said: "My contract with Al-Ittihad is coming to an end, but I'm coming to Madrid because I have family here and we'll be staying here for a while.
"When the World Cup ended, I wasn't really sure what to do or where to go.
"But we decided to come here to be close to our family here in Spain.
"And it's really nice here, too, so we'll stay here for a little while."
When pressed on whether he harbored ambitions of playing for Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho, Fabinho — who claimed six major honors at Anfield — said: "Man, Real Madrid. Who wouldn't want to play for Madrid? It's the biggest team in the world."
The Brazilian midfielder spent five years at Liverpool, lifting every major trophy available during that period, including both the Premier League title and the Champions League.
During his time in Saudi Arabia, Fabinho made 111 appearances, adding the Saudi Cup and the Saudi Arabian league title in the 2024/25 season to his impressive collection of honors.
