ASVEL Villeurbanne have officially added former NBA first-round pick TyTy Washington to their backcourt ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The French club announced the signing of the 24-year-old guard, who is set to begin the first European chapter of his professional career and make his EuroLeague debut.
The news of his possible arrival to Europe were first reported by BasketNews' Donatas Urbonas.

Washington heads to EuroLeague after four NBA seasons
Washington was selected with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft after spending one season at Kentucky.
Since entering the league, the guard has appeared in 74 NBA games across four seasons, representing the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers.
His opportunities at NBA level were limited during the 2025-26 campaign, as Washington appeared in 16 games for the Clippers and averaged 1.3 points and 1.1 assists in 5.5 minutes per game.
However, Washington was much more productive in the G League, where he averaged 21.2 points, 5.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds during the season.
Washington will now attempt to translate his scoring and playmaking into the European game as ASVEL add another former NBA player to their revamped roster.
