Arsenal's slim hopes of signing Kenan Yildiz have been dealt another blow after the forward picked up an injury in Juventus' 1-0 Serie A victory at Frosinone on Sunday.
Yildiz started the match but was substituted by Luciano Spalletti and replaced by former Chelsea winger Jeremie Boga in the 69th minute.
However, reports have indicated that Yildiz returned to Turin with a foot injury which has been examined today by the club's medical staff.
The initial diagnosis does not look positive and there are fears Yildiz may have to undergo surgery, which could seem him sidelined for up to two months.

Juventus are yet to release a statement confirming the status of Yildiz's condition, however, if he has indeed picked up an injury, that is likely to end any chance of Arsenal landing the player this summer.
Mikel Arteta has always been keen to recruit players for the here and now, so the prospect of the Gunners submitting a big-money offer for a winger that's now set to embark on a spell on the sidelines seems far-fetched.
Juve boss Spalletti had already indicated Yildiz would be staying put anyway having only penned a new bumper contract earlier this year.
He told reporters ahead of the game: "I experience it calmly because the player is Yildiz. rom my point of view, it's simple, they can offer whatever they want, I want to be able to field Yildiz next season.
"Yildiz is a guy who is perfect to have mature conversations with. And consequently, he knows very well that he shouldn't rush anything, that he shouldn't speed anything up. His future is already important at Juventus."

Arsenal remain in ongoing discussions with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal over the potential sale of out-of-favour forward Gabriel Martinelli.
But, if they are to sanction his departure, they will seek to replace the Brazilian with a new attacking player that can provide competition for Greek starlet Christos Tzolis.
The Gunners also remain keen on Atletico Madrid centre-forward Julian Alvarez, who was booed on Sunday by his current club's supporters after outlining his desire to leave for Barcelona earlier this summer.
Yildiz hit 10 goals and registered six assists in Serie A last season. His deal with Juventus will run until the summer of 2030.
