Liverpool can reportedly finally sign Bradley Barcola after PSG’s asking price for the French winger has finally dropped to a more acceptable level.
The Reds have been haggling with the Ligue 1 outfit for what feels like the whole summer, even though it has been less than two months. Either way, however, I am not the only one tired of this saga and looking forward to its end.
This may now come sooner than expected, with Ben Jacobs now reporting that PSG have reduced their asking price.
Jacobs said: “I’m being told the price for Bradley Barcola has dropped from €170m and is now closer to the €140m figure for Yan Diomande at Real Madrid. Liverpool can either wait another week to see if it drops towards €120m or pull the trigger.”

Arsenal want Barcola, but Barcola wants Liverpool
The Gunners have reminded the Premier League why they are champions after a dominant start to the new season. In comparison to Liverpool, it’s clear how far apart the two teams are in terms of quality, squad depth and the two projects.
However, Liverpool will still be the ones to sign Barcola this summer, it would appear.
Regarding Arsenal’s interest in Barcola, Jacobs said: “Arsenal know Barcola wants Liverpool, if they enter the race the only way you win the race is by outbidding Liverpool and PSG get their bidding war with Arsenal having to overpay.”
Liverpool will decide on Minteh future today
Liverpool remain in contact with Brighton and are now expected to proceed with a third bid for Minteh, although they will likely bid less than the £70m the Seagulls are demanding.
Reporting about Minteh and the third bid for the Brighton forward that is yet to arrive, Jacobs added: “Liverpool will decide if they make a 3rd offer for Yankubah Minteh TODAY, so things could change quickly. Brighton sources say a deal could be done at £70m, but I get the sense Liverpool may try for £65m.”

£65m for Minteh, whether he’s 22 or not, is a serious amount of money to pay for a player with just three goals and four assists for Brighton last season.
Hopefully he is able to reach new heights at Liverpool, though.
