Chelsea have reportedly made an approach for Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi as the club continue to monitor potential additions in the final stages of the transfer window.
The reported approach is another sign of Chelsea’s focus on keeping track of Europe’s most promising young forwards. Tresoldi has attracted attention after an impressive spell with Club Brugge, with recent reports linking several major clubs to the Germany Under-21 international.
Club Brugge are believed to be in a strong position, however, with the striker under contract until 2029 and the Belgian side previously rejecting a reported €35 million offer from Roma.
Chelsea’s interest does not necessarily mean a late deal is imminent. According to the reports, no Premier League club is currently expected to complete a move before the transfer window closes. That could leave the Blues with an opportunity to continue monitoring Tresoldi rather than rushing into an expensive deal.

From Chelsea’s perspective, Tresoldi could make plenty of sense as a long-term investment. Still only 22, he has already demonstrated that he can lead the line and score consistently, finishing as the Belgian league’s top scorer last season with 19 goals, according to recent reports. He also offers more than a simple penalty-box presence, with his movement, link-up play and mobility making him an intriguing modern centre-forward.
The biggest attraction is his potential. CHELSEA would not necessarily be buying a finished product; they would be investing in a striker who could continue to develop over the next several years. That approach fits a recruitment model focused on identifying young talent before a player reaches the very top of the market.
There is, of course, a financial question. Reports have suggested that Club Brugge could demand somewhere in the region of €45 million to €50 million, a significant sum for a player yet to prove himself in the Premier League.
But given his age, goalscoring record and growing reputation across Europe, CHELSEA may believe his value could continue to rise.
For now, though, the move appears unlikely to happen before the window shuts. That does not mean the story is over. If Chelsea genuinely see Tresoldi as a player capable of developing into a leading striker, keeping close tabs on his progress could prove to be the first step towards a future move.
