Hugo Viana - the sporting director at Manchester City - has been overseeing significant change at the Etihad Stadium over the course of the ongoing summer transfer window, but even more so in the last two weeks.
Following on from the high-profile £116 million signing of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, the Portuguese official also sanctioned the exits of Bernardo Silva to Real Madrid, Nathan Ake to Fenerbahce, John Stones to Inter, and James Trafford to Leeds United.
However, the last fortnight has seen Rodri join FC Barcelona in a £65 million agreement and Tijjani Reijnders head to Saudi Arabia's Al Qadsiah, whilst Savinho and Omar Marmoush are now expected to join Tottenham Hotspur and Nico Gonzalez to Newcastle United.
Those moves leave Manchester City with plenty of work to do with just eight days remaining in the summer transfer window, with the current expectation being that the club will sign at least two new midfielders and player/s in the attacking roles.

Man City open talks with Cody Gakpo's team
Now, according to transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have made contact with Cody Gakpo’s representatives on Monday, starting talks over a potential transfer from Anfield in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Dialogue from Etihad Stadium officials comes as Tottenham remain in active discussions for the Netherlands international, and with personal terms already in place with the player.
However, it is further explained that Liverpool will only sell Cody Gakpo this summer if they themselves can sign two wingers in the next eight days, with their priority being Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola.
Who else are Man City pursuing in the final days of the window?
The next player through the doors at the Etihad Stadium is expected to be midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, bringing an end to a prolonged pursuit of the 18-year-old Moroccan international.
Those at Manchester City have been targeting a deal for the Lille starlet since the FIFA World Cup earlier this summer, but found themselves struggling to come to a financial agreement with the French side - who continued to demand a nine-figure transfer fee.
