An Esoteric Debate in the Best Things Ever Bracket

The Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Bracket for 2026 is well underway. First-round matchups continue apace. Each day you’ll see a post or two inviting you to vote, and debate, on the merits of two cool things. Which of the two do you think is better, ultimately? At the end of the Tournament, we’ll have a Best Thing Ever winner for 2026!

So far we’ve talked about lots of fun things like Macaroni and Cheese, Star Trek, Charles Barkley, and Energy Drinks. The matchup in this post is a little more serious, though. Complexities abound. We’re asking you to vote between **Democracy** and the **Clear History Page** on your internet browser.

Democracy is the foundation of our American political system, a way of giving people voice in how they’re governed. (Or, in lesser examples, how they vote in polls like this. After all, we could have said that boxer shorts are the coolest thing ever and just been done with it.)

The Clear History Page, on the other hand, is a way of keeping voices quiet. Maybe some things shouldn’t be known to the general public. Or, you know, your significant other or your MOM. This invention has saved marriages and memorial service recollections since the dawn of the internet.

So which will it be in this ultra-serious debate? Democracy or the Clear History Page? Vote in the comments section and share your reasoning! Watch for more polls in days to come too!
