The Miami Heat still have financial wiggle room to sign two players even after adding Klay Thompson.
According to ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel, there are five players that the Heat could look at to bolster their championship hopes.
Siegel named Nick Richards, who has been linked with Miami in recent days, Keshad Johnson, Gabe Vincent, Jonathan Kuminga and Bruce Brown as potential additions for South Beach.
Richards has been on the Heat's radar according to multiple reports and could offer solid rebounding behind Bam Adebayo.
Adding former players
Keshad Johnson has spent his first two seasons in Miami after going undrafted in 2024.
While he has played a limited role due to being signed to a two-way contract, Siegel points out that Johnson could take one of the final roster spots due to his value in the locker room and practices.
Gabe Vincent sticks out as being one of Erik Spoelstra's favorites and having been an integral part of Miami's 2023 Finals run.
Despite a disappointing tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers, he could provide solid experience at the guard position, which is something the Heat need.

More unlikely scenarios
Siegel mentioned Kuminga and Brown since they remain unsigned and could provide instant impact to a team that is trying to win games.
However, Kuminga joining the Heat is unlikely, because he is still seeking a bigger contract, which Miami wouldn't be able to provide without a trade unless the highly sought-after forward would take a minimum deal to join a contender and prove himself.
Currently, it seems more likely that Brown could bolster the Heat's backcourt as a do-it-all kind of player, who fits in well with contenders.
Brown played college basketball in Miami before being drafted and could possibly join the city's NBA team for a sort of reunion, since he will probably be getting a minimum contract or a training camp deal this late in free agency.
