Transfer bosses at the Etihad Stadium have been thrust into action with just a handful of days remaining in the 2026 summer transfer window, mostly in light of the club reaching an agreement with Tottenham over a transfer for Savinho.

The North London side have been long-standing suitors of the former Girona winger, but have been dragging their feet over meeting a fee deemed acceptable by Manchester City for the most of the summer months.

However, over the course of last week, the two clubs finalised an agreement worth in the region of £85 million for the 22-year-old, enabling City to intensify their own pursuit of a direct replacement given Savinho's own desire to join Roberto De Zerbi's side.

Despite links to the likes of Chelsea's Pedro Neto and Paris Saint-Germain's Ibrahim Mbaye for most of the summer, that search has led the club to South America and a familiar club in Palmeiras.

Figures at the Etihad Stadium have agreed on a deal for the Brazilian winger worth a fixed fee of €40 million plus add-ons, with various documentation being exchanged between the two clubs ahead of the winger's arrival in England this week.

Reporting from The Athletic's David Ornstein, however, indicates that Manchester City will instead pay a total of €40 million for Allan, comprising of a €37.5 million fixed fee plus a further €2.5 million in add-ons.
