Patriots agree to trade WR Kayshon Boutte to Texans

The New England Patriots have agreed to trade wide receiver Kayshon Boutte to the Houston Texans for safety Jaylen Reed and a 2028 seventh-round pick, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday.

The Ringer's Tom Pelissero first reported the trade.

Boutte had a career-high six touchdown catches last year for New England and had been the subject of trade speculation after the Patriots traded for A.J. Brown and signed Romeo Doubs this offseason.

The Texans were in need of help at wide receiver after Jayden Higgins was lost for the season after tearing his ACL at practice last week.

Around The NFL will have more on this trade.
