Liverpool are in the market to add to their attacking armoury between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
The Reds signed Victor Munoz early in the summer, but since then, they haven’t been able to add to their attack.
Talks are ongoing to sign both Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG, while Liverpool have also had two bids rejected for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh.
If certain dominoes fall, the Reds could part with Cody Gakpo, who has already agreed terms with Tottenham Hotspur.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an important update on the Dutchman’s situation.
Liverpool could sell Cody Gakpo if they sign two attackers
The Italian has confirmed that Liverpool will only sell Gakpo if they manage to sign two attackers this summer after Manchester City entered the race to sign the Dutchman.
He wrote on X: “Liverpool will only sell Cody Gakpo if they can get two wingers in next 8 days; priority remains Bradley Barcola.

Tottenham verbally agreed terms with Gakpo since July, Man City now also in active talks with his agents.

The Reds have a lot of work to do in terms of incomings, with Barcola their main target. And if another winger comes through the door at Anfield, don’t be surprised to see Gakpo depart to one of Manchester City or Tottenham.
