As part of Liverpool’s growing global network of international academies, LFC International Academy Turkiye will offer year-round programmes and provide young players with an authentic Liverpool FC coaching experience.
The programme will follow a curriculum developed by the Reds’ Academy in Merseyside, giving players the opportunity to develop their skills and understanding of the game under the club’s established coaching methodology.
Ian Rush, LFC legend and LFC International Academy ambassador, said: “We’re excited to bring the first LFC International Academy to Turkiye, adding it to our global network.
‘Turkiye has a strong football culture and a real passion for the game. The aim of our international coaching programmes is to provide the very best experience for young players.
“Alongside player development, coach education is an equally important aspect of the programme, which is why we introduce local coaches to the same philosophies and techniques delivered at our very own Academy in Liverpool.
“Both players and coaches will get the opportunity to develop their abilities on and off the pitch and do so through ‘The Liverpool Way’.”
Selçuk Güler, general manager of Liverpool FC International Academy Turkiye, added: “We are incredibly proud to bring LFC International Academy to Turkiye.
“This is an exciting opportunity for young players across the country to benefit from the coaching philosophy of one of the world’s most iconic football clubs. Liverpool FC has a huge following in Turkiye and its values resonate strongly with players, coaches and families.
“Our ambition is to create a positive environment where young players can develop their football abilities, build confidence and enjoy the game while learning to play ‘The Liverpool Way’.
“We look forward to building a programme that will have a lasting impact on youth development in Turkiye, both on and off the pitch.”
