New Houston Texans wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has offered his first reaction following his trade from the New England Patriots.

In a sense, the former sixth-round draft pick was speechless.

Boutte took to Instagram, sharing a series of photos from his time with the Patriots, who made him the 187th overall pick of the 2023 draft. The thing is, Boutte did not post a single word, letting the imagery do the talking for him.

Among those to react was Patriots receiver and former teammate, Pop Douglas, who was also a speculative trade candidate this offseason.

Douglas simply shared a couple of triumphant face emojis.

Texans Add Big-Play Threat in Kayshon Boutte

Boutte is a field-stretching threat, the likes of which the Texans have lacked. He plays bigger than his size, but his explosiveness is a fitting complement to what the Texans have in the bigger-bodied Nico Collins, and he gives them proven production.

That is a combination that neither of the Texans’ previous top options next to Collins–Xavier Hutchinson and Jared Wayne–nor youngster Jaylin Noel can boast.

Boutte has missed time in his career due to injuries, so that is something to remember.

However, in the wake of losing Jayden Higgins for the season to a torn ACL, the Texans had to do more than sign Sterling Shepard and Zay Jones, both of whom could now be fighting for roster spots.
