PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) — Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe is expected to miss six months after sustaining a torn meniscus in his knee, league sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Monday.
The injury represents a significant setback for the 23-year-old Canadian guard and a Portland team looking to build its backcourt rotation. Sharpe, a native of London, Ontario, has averaged key minutes for the Trail Blazers since being selected seventh overall in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Portland’s guard depth, which includes Scoot Henderson, will be heavily tested during Sharpe’s extended absence. The team is expected to release a formal update regarding surgery and his rehabilitation timeline in the coming days.
