Adam Schefter Breaks Big Wide Receiver Trade Just Before The Start Of The 2026 Season
A trade was agreed upon by the Patriots and the Texans to send Kayshon Boutte and a seventh-round pick to Houston. Boutte’s status in the receiver room had changed considerably during the offseason, resulting in months of uncertainty.
Boutte gave teammates many reasons to believe he could contribute at a high level in Drake Maye’s offense. A regular vertical threat during training camp, he recorded 551 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2025 with an average of 16.7 yards per reception.
