The Las Vegas Raiders have a bit of a headstart on Sunday’s league-mandated roster cutdown day.

Cornerback Chigozie Anusiem was placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in Thursday’s preseason win over the Texans.

Wide receiver Noah Brown was released on Monday just eight days after signing with the organization.

Neither has been replaced on the roster.

That leaves the Raiders with 89 players. Most teams are limited to 90 at this point, but the Raiders have an exemption for International Pathway Program participant Kansei Matsuzawa.

All NFL teams must cut down to 53 players by Sunday at 3 p.m.
