The Utah Jazz have had one of the most eventful offseasons I can remember. It’s been filled with ups and downs, rumors, victories in the lottery, and losing players in free agency.
The quickest of recaps is that the Jazz won the lottery after another year of tanking, or to be more specific, a full year of focused tanking. The fruits of two seasons of tanking led them to an incredible lottery night and the #2 pick, which they then used to draft Darryn Peterson.
After unsuccessful restricted free agency negotiations, the Jazz signed and traded Walker Kessler to the Los Angeles Lakers for two unprotected first-round picks and two pick swaps.
