Transfer news LIVE!
The summer window has officially entered its final stretch, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and all pushing to get deals done before next week's deadline. Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Julian Alvarez, with talks now set to begin after Atletico Madrid named their price. The Gunners could partially fund a deal through Gabriel Martinelli's exit as they remain interested in the likes of Kenan Yildiz and Matias Fernandez-Pardo. Meanwhile, Igor Tyjon and Habeeb Ogunneye will be announced as Arsenal players after medicals, to be followed by James Scanlon.
Man United will confirm the signing of Carlos Baleba and then turn their attentions to Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde. Chelsea could move for Francisco Conceicao if Pedro Neto leaves. Liverpool remain in talks over Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye as they plot a third bid for Yankuba Minteh, having made a shock Endrick enquiry.
Tottenham have agreed a deal for Omar Marmoush to follow Savinho from Manchester City amid reports over interest in Mykhailo Mudryk, who won’t be going to Leeds. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

As such, Arsenal have now decided to step things up regarding Alvarez.
Atletico director Mateu Alemany was in London last week, where he is understood to have met with Arsenal counterparts - and made clear his side would seek a fee of 150m euros (£128m).

When does the summer transfer window close? New time for Deadline Day
The 2026 summer transfer window closes on Tuesday, September 1, at 11pm BST.
It is a return to a more traditional closing time, after the last two summer windows shut at 7pm.
Should any potential transfers go right down to the wire, though, clubs can submit a ‘deal sheet’, a form which if completed in time, can give clubs a few extra hours to exchange documents and get their purchases over the line.
