Liverpool given massive overnight Bradley Barcola boost

Liverpool remain in the market for attacking signings and are running out of time to add to their squad before the transfer deadline.

The Reds remain locked in talks to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG, while they have also had two bids rejected for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh.

Barcola has emerged as the central piece of their attacking recruitment, with the French international already agreeing personal terms ahead of a move to Anfield.

Liverpool and PSG, however, have thus far been unable to agree a fee.

And now, reports from France confirm that they are close to reaching a compromise.

Liverpool and PSG find middle ground for Bradley Barcola

L’Equipe report that the gap in the valuation of Barcola between the two clubs has been narrowed, adding that drawn-out negotiations aren’t abnormal due to the fees involved.

The French international and his entourage are confident he will get his dream move to Anfield before the summer transfer window slams shut, with the report also stating that no one has reached ‘panic mode’ yet.

The exact fee hasn’t been mentioned, but it has been confirmed that Barcola will become the most expensive sale in the history of French football, surpassing the fees involved in Ayyoub Bouaddi’s deal to Manchester City and Neymar’s departure to Al-Hilal.

Liverpool are expected to make one final offer for Barcola and will take their time to do so as they want to know PSG’s exact demands before submitting an acceptable offer that will get the deal done.

Not long left now, by the looks of it…
