Liverpool is running short on time to complete transfer business during the summer window.
The Merseyside club have secured four signings in total thus far, with three making appearances in Sunday's 2-2 stalemate against Newcastle. Jeremy Jacquet started the match at St James' Park, while Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo were both introduced as substitutes. Munoz earned the spot-kick that Dominik Szoboszlai dispatched in the 99th minute to guarantee Liverpool departed with a point.
Iraola will now be keen to finalise his recruitment during a hectic week that also features the Champions League draw and his maiden competitive fixture at Anfield as Reds manager versus Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Bradley Barcola, Ibrahim Mbaye and Yankuba Minteh represent three players who have been strongly associated with the Reds throughout the window. However, will any of them ultimately arrive before the deadline passes? Here, the ECHO provides the latest updates for Reds supporters, reports the Liverpool Echo.
PSG chief speaks out
PSG chief Luis Campos has maintained the transfer window "isn't over" from his perspective, leaving the possibility open for potential transfers involving both Mbaye and Barcola. The Reds have been consistently linked with the pair throughout the summer, particularly Barcola, with an official offer potentially materialising this week.
Reports indicate that an agreement in principle for a contract extending until 2032 has already been secured between the club and the player, with only the transfer fee remaining to be finalised. Discussions over Mbaye are believed to be ongoing, although his PSG teammate continues to be Iraola's top priority.
Now, Campos has told L1+ that the club will exercise patience regarding the two potential exits and are waiting for "a good opportunity."
He said: "The transfer window isn't closed. I understand the question, but you have to understand my position. It's important to defend PSG and the club. You mentioned (Bradley) Barcola and (Ibrahim) Mbaye; we'll see what happens. It's like this every year.

"I remind you what happened last year with Gigio Donnarumma; it was really late. This transfer window isn't over at all; it's open. Even on the incoming side, if we find a good opportunity, we'll take it."
Van Dijk transfer confession
Van Dijk insists he has absolute faith in Liverpool's recruitment department to equip Iraola with the tools necessary to compete this season. Thus far, Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet constitute the only signings this summer, despite links to various other prospects.
Despite the modest number of arrivals in recent weeks, the club captain remains positive about the transfer window. Van Dijk said: "Everyone wants to see quality arrive regardless. I fully trust the club and the board to make the right decisions. That's the only thing I can say.
"Let's see what they do. Regardless of what happens, we are Liverpool and we have to give everything. For us, we have to show a reaction from last year. We have nothing to prove to the outside world, in my opinion. It is to ourselves. The way we train, the way we approach games, it is down to us to show a reaction."
Reflecting on the shift in approach under Iraola, the Netherlands international added: "Last year it was very unacceptable, but that was last year. I don't want to talk about that - we are looking forward and looking to improve. Hopefully next week it will be very close to what (Iraola) wants us to do.
"Like I say, we work on it every day. We do long hours on the training ground and that will only benefit all of us, including our loyal and trusted supporters. It is so early in the season that if we start panicking regardless of what could have happened today then we won't be in a good place."
