The New England Patriots have returned to the NFL’s most expensive club, at least when it comes to buying a seat. Patriots tickets have an average purchase price of $364 for the 2026 season, the 10th-highest mark in the NFL, according to data shared by sports business reporter Joe Pompliano from TickPick.
New England trails the San Francisco 49ers by only $3 and the Las Vegas Raiders by $4. The Buffalo Bills sit in a different financial universe from the rest of the league. Buffalo’s average purchase price is $610, making the Bills the NFL’s most expensive team to see in person. That is $137 more than the second-place Philadelphia Eagles and $246 more than New England’s average.
The Patriots might not own the AFC East’s highest ticket price, but their return to the top 10 reflects how quickly expectations have changed in Foxboro.
Patriots Success Comes With Higher Price
New England finished 14-3 in Mike Vrabel’s first season as head coach and advanced to Super Bowl LX. The Patriots ultimately lost 29-13 to the Seattle Seahawks, but their unexpected run restored excitement around a franchise that had missed the playoffs in three consecutive seasons. Drake Maye’s development into an MVP candidate gave the Patriots a franchise quarterback and made them one of the NFL’s biggest attractions again.
The organization responded by adding more star power. New England acquired three-time Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles and signed Romeo Doubs to a four-year contract. The Patriots also added Kevin Byard, Alijah Vera-Tucker and Dre’Mont Jones while attempting to build a roster capable of returning to the Super Bowl.
Fans interested in watching that roster at Gillette Stadium will have to pay accordingly. The Patriots raised season-ticket prices by slightly more than 7% following last season’s success. Most seats increased by less than 10%, while premium sections experienced larger hikes.
The $364 figure shared by Pompliano reflects average purchase prices on the secondary market, not the face value set by the Patriots. Resale prices can change throughout the season based on opponent, team performance, injuries and available inventory.
Gillette Stadium Schedule Packed With Marquee Games
New England’s 2026 home schedule helps explain the strong demand. The Patriots will host Josh Allen and the Bills on Dec. 6 in one of the season’s most anticipated AFC East matchups. Buffalo defeated New England during the regular season last year, but the Patriots ultimately won the division and represented the AFC in the Super Bowl.
The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions also will visit Gillette Stadium in November. Both teams ranked among the six most expensive clubs in TickPick’s data. New England will host the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 10 and close the regular season with consecutive home games against the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins.
The matchup against Denver is a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game. Maye and the Patriots defeated the Broncos 10-7 to earn their first Super Bowl appearance since the 2018 season. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets round out a home schedule filled with national brands, division rivals and playoff contenders.

Buffalo Sets Stunning New Standard
The Bills’ $610 average purchase price is nearly 68% higher than New England’s. Buffalo is opening the new Highmark Stadium this season, adding considerable demand and curiosity. The Bills also remain one of the AFC’s top contenders despite an offseason coaching change.
The Eagles rank second at $473, followed by the Chicago Bears at $472 and Green Bay at $454. Seattle, Detroit, Denver, Las Vegas, San Francisco and New England complete the top 10. For years, Patriots tickets carried a premium because Tom Brady and Bill Belichick made deep playoff runs routine. Demand cooled as New England struggled following Brady’s departure.
That trend has reversed quickly. Vrabel brought the Patriots back to the Super Bowl, Maye has emerged as one of the league’s biggest young stars and Brown gives the offense another marquee attraction.
The cost of attending a Patriots game is rising again, but that is what happens when expectations return to Foxboro.
