Gary Neville believes Bruno Guimaraes is a 'brilliant personality' for Arsenal to have, and the £75million the Gunners paid Newcastle United for the Brazilian is 'value' in today's market.
The Magpies were at the centre of yet another heated and dramatic transfer saga this summer, just 12 months on from Alexander Isak's controversial move to Liverpool for £125m.
However, this time round, it concerned club captain, Guimaraes. Headed into the summer seemingly settled despite Newcastle's 12th-place finish last term, things soon changed when Arsenal began monitoring the 28-year-old's situation.
After a summer of negotiations, the Gunners finally agreed a price tag of £75m, with Guimaraes arriving in north London earlier this month.

The Rio-born talent was quickly thrust into Mikel Arteta's first-team plans, featuring in the side which enjoyed a 3-0 win over Manchester City for the Community Shield.
And while Guimaraes missed the cut for Arsenal's Premier League opener with Coventry which finished with the same scoreline, Neville believes that he will be an undeniable asset to the club this season.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the pundit said: "One risk that Arsenal have...If you take a player out of Arsenal's team, anywhere - probably [David] Raya's the other one - but the outfield parts of the pitch, there isn't a drop off between first and second choice anywhere, apart from Declan Rice.

"There was a massive drop when Declan Rice moves out of the team. So if Declan Rice gets injured for three months, that would be a risk to Arsenal.
"The signing of him [Guimaraes] removes that risk. He is a massive personality.
"Different player to Declan Rice, but you talk about the personality and character on the pitch. We talk about no leaders, no players who are a massive personality.

"He is a brilliant personality and character. He believes he can win every single football match for his team, he believes he can tackle, he's aggressive.
"He's somebody you'd want alongside you. I think he's an amazing signing.
"And by the way, £75m compared to some of the others who have gone for more, is value, I think, in this market."
