Liverpool head into the closing days of the summer transfer window with unfinished business at both ends of the market.
Andoni Iraola’s side have made three signings since June, bringing in Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo on loan, but the head coach has made clear more is still to come.

Iraola confirmed his side will “definitely” complete at least one further signing before the window shuts, with Liverpool continuing to be linked with a move for Bradley Barcola.
The Reds have also been working through a list of potential departures as they look to balance the squad before the deadline.
Trimming numbers has become a pressing issue on Merseyside, with several fringe players needing exits before Liverpool can push through any further incomings.
That process has already produced multiple deals in quick succession over recent days, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
One of those departures involves a player who has spent four years at Anfield without ever establishing himself in the first team.
St Mirren have officially confirmed that Calvin Ramsay has joined from Liverpool on loan for the 2026-27 season.
The move takes the right-back to the Scottish Premiership until June 2027, which is also when his Liverpool contract is due to expire.
Ramsay signed for Liverpool from Aberdeen in 2022 for a fee of £4.2 million, a deal that could rise to £6.5 million with add-ons. He had made 39 appearances for Aberdeen, contributing nine assists, before completing his move to Merseyside as a highly-rated teenager.
His time at Liverpool has been repeatedly disrupted by injury. He has made just four appearances for the club in four years, and has spent loan spells at Preston North End, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic and Kilmarnock, managing only 26 appearances across those four clubs combined.
Ramsay is also not eligible as a homegrown player under Premier League rules, a factor that made him a candidate to leave if Liverpool wanted to register further new signings this summer.
Jeremie Frimpong has been Iraola’s preferred choice at right-back, limiting Ramsay’s route into the team despite a strong pre-season.
The 23-year-old featured in all five of Liverpool’s pre-season matches, including an assist for Federico Chiesa in a win over Sunderland in Tennessee, and started against Wrexham at Yankee Stadium. That form had raised hopes he could finally break through under Iraola.
Since no contract extension has been agreed alongside the loan, the move effectively signals the end of Ramsay’s Liverpool career.
When his loan at St Mirren concludes next June, he will be free to negotiate with other clubs as his contract at Anfield runs out.
A Scotland international, Ramsay will now look to use the season in the Scottish Premiership to rebuild momentum after a career at Liverpool defined more by fitness setbacks than first-team opportunity.
