**Chelsea striker Marc Guiu is “closing in on an exit” from the club, according to reports.**
The Blues have been looking to offload the Spaniard all summer, having made him available for £25m, but no team has shown interest in paying the valuation up until now.
It is believed that Serie A side Napoli are keen on recruiting Guiu, with [_The Standard_](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-fc-transfer-news-marc-guiu-b1294296.html) claiming they are exploring a permanent deal.
However, there is also believed to be interest in the 20-year-old from two other clubs; one in Spain and another in Germany.
It remains to be seen if Napoli or any other team are willing to match Guiu’s asking price.
Manager Xabi Alonso currently has 6 strikers in his first-team squad. Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Emmanuel Emegha are expected to be the three favoured options.
However, that means Guiu, Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson are deemed surplus to requirements, with the trio expected to leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes on September 1st.
Nottingham Forest, Everton and Ipswich are all pursuing Delap, while Aston Villa are heavy favourites to snap up Jackson, with head coach Unai Emery hoping to be reunited with the player he managed at Villarreal.
More players could depart the club

The Blues have a lot of [**outgoing business**](https://chelseanews.com/blog/chelsea-transfer-news-twelve-players-for-sale/) to do over the next week. In addition to offloading several forwards, midfielders Enzo Fernandez and Dario Essugo could well depart.
Pedro Neto has also been linked with a transfer to Saudi Arabia, while Mykhailo Mudryk may leave on loan.
The London club are said to be open to offers for Gabriel Slonina and David Datro Fofana as well, but they have had difficulties finding suitors who would be prepared to sign them on a permanent basis.
