Everton striker Beto could be heading back to Italy before the transfer window closes, with Fiorentina interested and the 28-year-old also offered to Juventus.
Sky Italy reports that Fiorentina are considering Beto as a possible replacement for former Everton forward Moise Kean should he leave Florence.
The latest development comes with Beto’s position at Everton already under scrutiny following the arrival and emergence of Thierno Barry.
Barry started Saturday’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and scored Everton’s second goal, with Beto replacing him for the final 12 minutes.
Now there appears to be interest in taking the Guinea-Bissau international back to Serie A.
Beto offered to Juventus
Italian journalist Nicolò Schira reports that Fiorentina have shown an interest in Beto, while an intermediary also offered the striker to Juventus last week.
That does not mean Juventus have approached Everton, but it does suggest Beto’s name is being circulated in Italy as the deadline approaches.
A return would be familiar territory.
Beto spent two seasons with Udinese before Everton signed him in 2023 and has since had to fight for a regular starting place on Merseyside.
The emergence of Barry presents David Moyes with a decision.
Beto remains a useful alternative at centre-forward, and Everton would need to be comfortable with their options before allowing him to leave. Equally, interest from Italy could provide an opportunity to reshape the squad if the right offer arrives.
Fiorentina’s position may depend on Kean’s future, while there is no suggestion yet that Juventus have taken their interest beyond being offered the player.
But with the deadline approaching, Beto is another Everton player whose future is worth watching.
