Arsenal are set to finalise a double swoop on Manchester United this week to sign two wonderkids from their academy.
As well as adding to their first team squad with the arrivals of Christos Tzolis, Illan Meslier, Bruno Guimaraes and Ezri Konsa this summer, the Gunners have also made it a priority to add talent to their academy set up too.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move to sign Jeremy Monga from Leicester City before Manchester City swooped to complete a deal ahead of them, but the north Londoners have made other moves, bringing in Elijah Upson from rivals Tottenham Hotspur and striking a deal to bring in striker Igor Tyjon from Blackburn Rovers, for an initial £1.25million.

Now, Arsenal are adding two more, with a double swoop on Manchester United to sign full-back Habeeb Ogunneye and winger James Scanlon.
According to the Athletic, 20-year-old Ogunneye has already undergone a medical ahead of his move to north London, with 19-year-old Scanlon close to finalising a move to the Emirates Stadium too.

The report states that both deals will go down as free transfers, but United will have significant sell-on clauses inserted into the transfers, should Arsenal cash in on the duo in the future.
Arsenal's move for the duo has been led by new U21s head coach David Horseman, who has previously been part of the youth setup at Old Trafford.
With just a week remaining of the summer transfer window, all eyes will be on the last bits of business that manager Mikel Arteta could do to strengthen his first team squad as the Gunners look to retain their Premier League title.
They got their new 2026/27 season off to the perfect start with a 3-0 win over newly promoted Coventry City on Friday night. GIVEMESPORT senior football correspondent Ben Jacobs has revealed that the Gunners are ready to go "all-in" to sign Julian Alvarez before the window shuts, if they are given any indication that he is willing to relinquish his dream of moving to Barcelona and sign for them instead.
Jacobs added: "My feeling here is despite what Atletico Madrid have said publicly, if Julian Alvarez says yes to Arsenal, then Arsenal will move and get the player.
"It's a case of it being a very difficult and tense situation with Atleti. I'm sure they wish the window was already shut. Let's see if the door becomes open to Arsenal because talks are still ongoing and Arsenal held meetings last week as well."
