Bradley Barcola has become one of the most discussed names in Liverpool’s summer business, with the France international’s future at Paris Saint-Germain increasingly uncertain as the transfer window enters its final days.
The 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes under Luis Enrique, and has made clear to PSG that he does not intend to extend his contract beyond 2028. That stance has opened the door to a move away from the French capital.

Liverpool have been credited with sustained interest in the winger throughout the summer, with reports describing weeks of talks between the two clubs over a fee.
DaveOCKOP exclusively reported that Liverpool and PSG had reached an agreement in principle for Barcola’s transfer, with the report stressing that nothing had been signed or formally completed at that stage.
That development marked a significant step in a saga that has run since the early weeks of the window, and the picture has continued to move since.
According to L’Equipe, Barcola and his entourage are now confident that a long-awaited transfer to Liverpool will be secured before the summer window closes.
The outlet reports that the two clubs have been locked in talks for weeks, and that Barcola has already agreed personal terms with Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool side.
PSG previously turned down an offer of around €115m from Liverpool, and according to our understanding, the final package will approach €140m.
A transfer at that level would surpass the Ligue 1 record for the sale of a player to a foreign club, above Ayyoub Bouaddi’s move from Lille to Manchester City. It would also become PSG’s record outgoing sale, eclipsing the €90m PSG received from Al Hilal for Neymar in 2023.
Barcola scored 21 goals and provided 19 assists in all competitions during PSG’s treble-winning 2024-25 campaign, though he found starts harder to come by last season behind Enrique’s other attacking options.
Liverpool have already brought in Victor Munoz, Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo this summer but remain short in wide areas following Mohamed Salah’s departure. Barcola has been positioned as a possible long-term option to help fill that gap.
The winger joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for an initial fee of €45m plus add-ons, having come through the Lyon academy. He has two years left on his current contract at the Parc des Princes.
