Manchester United are set to include significant sell-on clauses in the free transfers of academy players Habeeb Ogunneye and James Scanlon to Arsenal. The 20-year-old right-back Ogunneye has already undergone a medical with the Gunners, while a deal for 19-year-old winger Scanlon is close to being finalised.
Both players are known to Arsenal’s new under-21s head coach David Horseman, who previously worked at United. The moves allow the youngsters to continue their development in north London while United retain a financial interest in any future sales.
