Alasana Manneh has left Hibernian by mutual consent after just nine appearances in 18 months.
The Gambian international midfielder, who left Odense in Denmark to join Hibs in January 2025, could return to Scandinavia with Danish second-tier club Kolding IF understood to be keen on signing the 28-year-old on a one-year deal.
Manneh was sent off on his debut for Hibs against St Mirren for two yellow cards, and struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first-team squad thereafter.
He last played a competitive game for Hibs when he lined up in a 2-0 Premier Sports Cup victory over Livingston in August 2025, just days after a second-half substitute appearance against Partizan Belgrade in last season's UEFA Conference League third-round qualifier.
Manneh's last league appearance came as a late sub in a 2-1 win at Dundee on the opening day of last season.
Hibs were happy for him to leave the club last summer, but he remained in Edinburgh, making the matchday squad on seven further occasions after his last appearance, but never getting off the bench.
It was felt that the former Barcelona youngster never really got to grips with the physicality of the Scottish Premiership, despite having plenty of technical ability.
The arrivals during the summer transfer window last year of Dan Barlaser, Miguel Chaiwa, and Josh Mulligan, followed by the loan signing of Kai Andrews in the winter transfer window, pushed him even further down the pecking order in the middle of the park.
And the signings this summer of Azeem Abdulai, Callum Wright, and now Jacob Devaney sent a clear message that the former Górnik Zabrze midfielder would struggle to force his way into the reckoning.

Head coach David Gray said: "I would like to wish Alasana all the best for the future.
"He clearly hasn’t played as much football as he would’ve liked since joining the club.
"This deal was best for all parties involved, as it allows him to explore other opportunities elsewhere.
“Everyone at the club wishes him the best of luck with the next steps in his playing career."
