Arsenal are still in search of fresh attacking talent. The club has regained interest in Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, as per latest transfer news. With that, the response from the Italian side has arrived as well.
Spalletti Shuts The Door On Kenan Yildiz Deal
Juve coach Luciano Spalletti wasted no time addressing the transfer talk when he spoke to reporters over the weekend. His words left little room for doubt about where the club stands on Yildiz’s future. The coach also spoke about the personal side of the situation.
As reported by ESPN, Spalletti said: “I experience it calmly because the player is Yildiz. From my point of view, it’s simple, they can offer whatever they want, I want to be able to field Yildiz next season.” He stated that Yildiz is someone who knows his own path and does not need outside noise to guide him.
Spalletti added: “Yildiz is a guy who is perfect to have mature conversations with. And consequently, he knows very well that he shouldn’t rush anything, that he shouldn’t speed anything up. His future is already important at Juventus.”
Spalletti went further when pressed on the financial angle, making clear that no transfer fee, however large, would change the club’s thinking this summer. “It’s not important because someone offers 100 million or because there is a club that has the financial power to spend at this moment,” he said. “He is already at the club that offers 100 million for him. So, we are all very calm.” Those comments read like a direct answer to Arsenal. Those words show a coach fully backing his player rather than preparing to cash in.
Yildiz’s To Stay at Juve?
He joined Juventus from Bayern Munich’s academy in 2022 and signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2030. That gives the club plenty of security over his long term future. The player’s numbers support Spalletti’s confidence in him. Yildiz finished last season with 10 goals and 6 assists across 36 Serie A appearances.
Those are figures that placed him among the most productive young attackers in Italian football. His performances earned him Serie A’s Best Under-23 Player award for the season along with two separate Rising Star of the Month honours.
