Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola has emerged as Liverpool’s top target to replace Mohamed Salah, who left the club at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Barcola has two years remaining on his current contract but has made it clear that he does not want to sign a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions.

DaveOCKOP exclusively reported that a breakthrough has been reached between the two European giants, with Liverpool and PSG agreeing in principle on Barcola’s transfer. The fee is believed to be around €128m, with add-ons more achievable than those included in earlier proposals.
According to French journalist Romain Collet Gaudin, the deal is now very close to being concluded. Gaudin posted on X: “Deal very close to being concluded between PSG and Liverpool for the transfer of Bradley Barcola.”
Liverpool were hopeful of bringing both Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye this window. For now, it looks like Mbaye is out of reach and the Reds will aim to formalise the agreement for Barcola.
Initially, it was believed that Liverpool were hoping to include add-ons with Champions League and Premier League success but PSG will insist on much easier-to-achieve add-ons.
The Reds have spent time hoping to conclude a double deal, but they have pivoted to Yankuba Minteh. Liverpool have already tested Brighton’s resolve twice, with the Seagulls rejecting an improved £60m offer after previously turning down a £50m bid. Brighton value Minteh at closer to £70m.
Barcola racked up 49 appearances for PSG last season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists as they retained the Ligue 1 title and won the Champions League.
Primarily a left winger, he can also operate on the right and competed with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue for minutes.
A product of Lyon’s academy, Barcola broke into the first team in 2021/22, registering seven goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances before joining PSG in August 2023. He has since made 152 appearances for the Parisian club, scoring 39 goals and providing 37 assists.
Barcola was also named in France’s 26-man squad for this summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, featuring in all eight matches and scoring three goals.
