Bengals get sigh of relief as Ja'Marr Chase reveals positive update on knee injury image

The Cincinnati Bengals got a massive injury scare on Tuesday during practice, as superstar wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had a very awkward moment trying to make a reception.

Chase apparently suffered a knee injury, and in the instant aftermath, while he didn't receive significant medical attention, it was hard for Bengals fans not to panic. Who could blame them? It looked rough, and they cannot lose Chase.

However, Kelsey Conway for the Cincinnati Enquirer shared that Chase, during a radio appearance on ESPN 1530 with Tony Pike and Mo Egger, revealed a positive update on his apparent knee injury, which is a huge sigh of relief for Bengals fans.

Ja'Marr Chase reveals positive injury update after practice scare

"Ja'Marr Chase on the radio with @tony_pike15 and @MoEgger @espn1530 said he's good and said it was a little 'hyperextension.' Said he could have kept going if he needed," Conway revealed.

This update from Chase is a massive one. It appears that he could've kept practicing if he had needed to, which is a huge sigh of relief compared to the initial scare.

The video shared by Yanni Tragellis of CBS Cincinnati of Chase's injury didn't look pretty, as he was clearly hobbled after trying to make a catch down the field.

However, Chase revealed he could've kept going if needed, which likely means he's good to go for the Week 1 opener, which for a short while seemed at risk.

This injury scare was a big one for the Bengals and Chase, as the initial look at the injury made it seem significantly worse than it apparently ended up being.

Chase revealing this was only a hyperextension instead of a more serious knee or leg issue is a huge sigh of relief for everyone involved.

While it's still going to be important to see Chase practice for the next few days and weeks leading up to the regular season opener in September, this is at the very least some good news for the Bengals on what could've been a devastating injury.
