Bruno Guimaraes has revealed the two Arsenal trophies he most wants to add to his tattoo collection, while explaining how his parents and the number on his father’s taxi continue to inspire him.
The £75million summer signing already carries reminders of his achievements, including Newcastle United’s 2025 Carabao Cup triumph.
Guimaraes now wants to mark further success at Arsenal in permanent fashion, with the Premier League and Champions League occupying the top two positions on his list.

Speaking during an interview with the Men in Blazers Media Network, Guimaraes discussed his ambition to win every available competition under Mikel Arteta.
The Brazilian identified the league and Europe’s leading club competition as his ultimate ambitions, explaining that the ‘Premier League and Champions League would be very special’.

Guimaraes’ tattoos are not the only way he carries reminders of his journey.
The midfielder has worn No.39 throughout his senior career because 039 was the dispatch number on his father’s taxi in Rio de Janeiro. His father worked as a driver for more than 20 years and regularly transported his son to training and trials.
His father originally suggested the number when Guimaraes joined Athletico Paranaense. By coincidence, a No.39 shirt had already been prepared for him when he arrived.
The midfielder immediately telephoned his father, who began crying after learning what had happened. Guimaraes has retained the number ever since, wearing it for Athletico Paranaense, Lyon, Newcastle and now Arsenal.

Rejection formed another significant part of Guimaraes’ route into professional football.
Botafogo and Fluminense both released him during his youth career, while the midfielder considered abandoning football when opportunities became difficult to find.
That mentality formed part of Arsenal’s decision to invest £75million in the former Newcastle captain. Guimaraes has already been identified as the signing who could reduce Arsenal’s reliance on Declan Rice.
