NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Cleveland Browns
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jeshaun Jones (82) makes a reception under coverage by Cleveland Browns cornerback Myles Harden (26) during the fourth quarter at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, on Aug. 17, 2024.
EAGAN, Minn. — Vikings receiver Jeshaun Jones has been suspended for three games without pay for violating the NFL’s substances of abuse policy. The suspension will begin on Aug. 30, and he will be eligible for reinstatement on Sept. 28.
Though he will be suspended in the very near future, Jones is eligible to play in the exhibition game between the Vikings and Denver Broncos on Friday at Empower Field. It will be interesting to see how the Vikings handle the situation.
In the most recent exhibition game between the Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens, Jones had an impressive 36-yard reception, then later fumbled the ball away for a costly turnover. He originally signed with the Vikings after not being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. He has spent his career exclusively as a member of the practice squad.
