The Denver Broncos are looking to level up next season. It will be hard to top, or even match, the previous season: they made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game and were just one touchdown away from reaching the Super Bowl. However, they have added some pieces to the team that should improve their chances. The crowning jewel of their offseason is acquiring ex-Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
Waddle immediately slots in as the Broncos' WR1 for the 2026 season. However, fans are wondering how the star wide receiver will be used in this offense. Well, offensive coordinator Davis Webb gave an encouraging answer on that front that should excite fans AND fantasy football managers.
“He’s going to play everywhere,” Davis said, per Zac Stevens on X. “He’s really really good. He’s going to play everywhere. Except offensive line.”

Waddle should be featured prominently in the Broncos' offense due to his versatility. While he functioned primarily as the WR2 in Miami, Waddle shined by donning many hats in the Dolphins' offense. He worked as an outside receiver most of the time, but was also placed in the slot and as a motion man in Mike McDaniel's trademark exit/cheat motion. With the increased prevalence of wide receivers working out of the backfield, Broncos fans can reasonably expect Waddle to do the same thing in Denver.
The Broncos' offense last season was already pretty good, finishing top 10 in total yards per game and 11th in passing EPA. Bo Nix's creativity in the pocket has made him the perfect skipper of Sean Payton's offense, even though he could stand to slow down a little bit. Denver did all that without having a true WR1 option on paper. Now that they have that premier pass-catching option in Waddle, the team will be much, much better.
