Liverpool could be set to wrap up a deal for PSG winger Bradley Barcola who has been a long-term target for the Reds

Liverpool's transfer window activity is reaching boiling point. While there are precious few days left in the market this summer, with the deadline passing at 11pm on September 1, the Reds appear to be making moves.
So far, Spanish winger Victor Munoz, Barcelona loanee Ronald Araujo and French defender Jeremy Jacquet are the only new recruits at Anfield.
Curtis Jones also left Liverpool last week, meaning the Reds have primarily shifted their focus onto incomings. However, there has been another departure for Liverpool in the last 24 hours.
Barcola 'agreement close'
Liverpool are reportedly closing in on an agreement with PSG for Barcola as the Reds prepare to table a final offer. According to L'Equipe, Liverpool are confident the European champions will accept the bid and the player's camp is said to be increasingly optimistic that a deal will be struck before this summer's transfer deadline.
Liverpool have been chasing the French international for much of the summer, with PSG reportedly demanding in excess of £145million for the player. The Reds, however, are not prepared to pay such a fee.
Barcola is also understood to be keen on joining Andoni Iraola's side. While PSG's valuation is an obstacle, it has recently been claimed in the French media that an offer between £111m and £128m could seal the deal to finally bring the left winger to Anfield.

It is also said that there is no alarm that the deal could go south, despite the apparent lack of progress to date. There is anticipation that the eventual fee will eclipse the Ligue 1 record for a sale to an overseas club, beating both Ayyoub Bouaddi's forthcoming move to Manchester City this summer and Neymar's move to Al-Hilal in 2023; however, the precise final figure remains uncertain.

Star shares excitement
Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay has shared his excitement at his return to Scotland. The right-back has joined St Mirren, subject to international clearance.
With the Scot out of contract at Anfield next summer, he will ultimately depart Anfield on a permanent free transfer next year. It has already been decided that he will not be offered a new contract by the club.
Ramsay signed for Liverpool in an initial £4.2m move from Aberdeen in June 2022. His Reds career was hampered by injuries and unsuccessful loan moves.
He was limited to just four appearances during his four years at Anfield. However, he is now chomping at the bit for his new challenge. "I feel really good, really excited,” he told his new club. "I’ve been in and trained and met all the boys, so yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

"I know the league and I wanted to come back up here and try and show what I can do and rebuild myself again. I feel like it's a good place to come. I want to try and perform, work as hard as I can and see where that takes me.
"It's a really tough place to come for opposition teams and I think the pitch is really good as well from when I played here. It's a good set up, it's a good club and I'm just excited to get going. I spoke to the manager a couple of times before I came up and he got his plan across and what he wanted to do.
“It's probably a different St Mirren compared to the last few years. That'll suit me. I'm comfortable on the ball, I'm composed, I like to get on it and try and create things and make things happen."
