Carabao Cup third round draw details
The Carabao Cup third round draw takes place on Wednesday, August 26 at roughly 10.30pm, immediately following the televised second-round game between Preston North End and Everton.
Premier League teams involved in European competition, including title holders Manchester City and Arsenal, join the tournament here after receiving byes through the opening two rounds to manage fixture congestion.
UK viewers can tune in live via Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, or stream the draw at no cost on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel.
A live pre-draw during the Preston vs Everton build-up on Sky Sports Football will determine home/away placement for the eight European-qualified clubs, as continental rules prevent them from playing each other and this streamlines the post-match main draw.
Official ball numbers for every remaining club will be revealed on the morning of the draw.
Third-round fixtures are set for the weeks starting September 7 and September 14, split over two weeks to fit around European match schedules.
