Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has hinted that a ‘Here We Go’ could be imminent for Liverpool’s pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The transfer has been one of the biggest stories surrounding Liverpool in recent weeks, with the Reds identifying the 23-year-old as their priority target to strengthen the left side following Mohamed Salah’s move to Trabzonspor.

Barcola has reportedly made his preference for a move to Anfield clear throughout the saga. Personal terms have not been viewed as a major obstacle, with negotiations between Liverpool and PSG centred mainly on the overall transfer fee.
Earlier this month, DaveOCKOP exclusively reported that Liverpool had reached an agreement in principle with PSG over Barcola’s transfer.
However, the report stressed that nothing had been signed or completed, while the proposed add-ons were said to be more achievable than those initially demanded by the French club.
The talks are ongoing between the clubs in relation to the structure of the deal, including payment terms, etc.
That development came after weeks of negotiations, including Liverpool’s opening bid and a formal proposal worth around £100 million plus add-ons.
L’Equipe also reported that Bradley Barcola had “contractually agreed” to join Liverpool, while PSG had initially valued the winger at €170 million before subsequently lowering their demands.
Romano has now provided his strongest indication yet that the transfer could be approaching its final stages.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian journalist revealed that Liverpool and PSG remain in direct negotiations, with just six days remaining in the transfer window.
“Now we are in the final six days of the window and any moment could be the moment for the Here We Go, because the two clubs are in direct conversations,” Romano said.
“And if Paris Saint-Germain decide to accept what Liverpool are offering, at that point, any moment could be the moment for the green light with the medical test and the contract signing.”
Romano’s comments suggest that the deal is now dependent on PSG accepting Liverpool’s latest proposal after weeks of negotiations over the total package.
Earlier reports indicated that PSG were seeking between €130 million and €150 million, while Liverpool’s improved offer is believed to be closer to €128 million including achievable add-ons.
However, a potential Barcola arrival could also have consequences for another Liverpool forward.
“Don’t forget that Barcola plus one could mean Cody Gakpo out,” Romano added.
Gakpo has started the season as Liverpool’s first-choice option on the left, scoring in the Reds’ opening-day draw against Newcastle United. Barcola’s arrival would increase competition for the position under new head coach Andoni Iraola.
Liverpool have already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna this summer and have also made two bids for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh as they continue to explore options for another wide player before the September 1 deadline.
