Liverpool seemingly won't be landing a Real Madrid player this summer, amid links with a potential move, with Jose Mourinho making his stance on a possible exit clear

Jose Mourinho has seemingly shut down the possibility of Endrick joining Liverpool this summer, amid links between the Premier League club and the Real Madrid star.
Endrick, 20, emerged as a potential option for the Reds following uncertainty over the star's playing time for Los Blancos over the coming season.
The Brazilian forward has shown glimpses of quality since making the move to the Bernabeu, but his lack of minutes for the club saw him join Lyon for the second half of the previous campaign. In an impressive stint with the French club, the versatile attacker made 21 appearances, scoring eight goals and assisting eight to show his quality.

However, with an attacking lineup in front of him that includes the likes of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Yan Diomande, chances could be limited.
That has led to teams enquiring about a move, with Liverpool among those who have been interested, with a potential loan offering up a low-cost opportunity to improve the team further.
Considering his ability to play as a striker and on the right flank, it would be a sensible move for the Reds, but one that now seems unlikely to happen.
Mourinho himself has claimed that Endrick will be staying with the team for the foreseeable future, and there are no plans to make any more changes to his roster of players any time soon.

"He [Endrick] is a player I like very much,” the manager was quoted as telling reporters in Spain. “One who has attracted interest from many clubs wanting him either on loan or via a permanent transfer.
“I didn’t want to loan him out or sell him because I enjoy working with this young player who possesses significant talent… For me, the squad closed, but with the market still open, you never know what might happen.
“You don’t know if a player will come to you and say they want to leave because you’ve benched them for two consecutive matches. I see everyone very involved and with a great sense of unity, but it’s something that can always happen.

“I don’t know if the president or Jose Angel might call to say we have an incredible offer for a player. In my mind, the squad is closed, and I don’t have any requests. I’m very happy with the players I have. If someone leaves now, I wouldn’t be happy. I’d like to keep this squad for the entire season.”

It seemingly rules out the possibility of the Reds adding Endrick to the team moving forward, meaning they need to move onto other targets in the forward ranks.
A deal for Yankuba Minteh now looks unlikely on the right flank, meaning there is plenty of work to be done to bolster the options available for the Liverpool squad moving forward.
