Harvey Elliott of Liverpool
Another source is claiming that AC Milan are exploring the idea of signing Harvey Elliott from Liverpool late in the window.
It is no secret that Milan are looking for a new attacking midfielder to play behind the striker, with countless targets linked. However, earlier in the week a new name emerged in Elliott, who is back at Liverpool after a tormented loan spell at Aston Villa in 2025-26.

Milan working on late Elliott swoop
According to CaughtOffside, there is a ‘concrete chance’ of Elliott leaving Liverpool in the final few days of the summer window, as Milan are prepared to ‘step up their interest’.
The Rossoneri initially wanted Ethan Nwaneri, though a Premier League loan is likely for him. So, the 23-year-old Elliott is a more realistic late addition, given that he is ‘unlikely’ to remain at Anfield beyond the deadline.
A source reportedly told them: “Elliott is one of the standout profiles on Milan’s list. Milan want to inject fresh energy into their attack without disrupting the overall squad structure, while also weighing factors such as wage balance and long‑term return on investment.

“Should a deal be completed, Elliott’s ability to play both on the right wing and in central areas would give Milan significant tactical flexibility and allow for in‑game formation shifts.”
Milan ‘have done a lot of work on this deal’ and are now ready to enter into concrete negotiations, but Liverpool are asking for €35m, while the Diavolo value him at closer to €20-25m. A meeting point must be found, with interest from RB Leipzig too.
