Xabi Alonso will take his pre-match press conference at 1:30pm (UK time) this afternoon ahead of Chelsea's Carabao Cup second round tie with Luton Town.
The Blues welcome the League One side to Stamford Bridge in Alonso's official debut at Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard was unveiled to his new supporters earlier this month before the pre-season friendly victory over Real Sociedad, but this will be his first taste of competitive action at his new home.
Alonso will preview the match this afternoon but he is set to be asked plenty of questions regarding the future of Enzo Fernandez. Many expect Manchester City to make an official offer for the Chelsea midfielder in the coming days, with the summer transfer window closing in less than a week's time.
During last week's press conference, Alonso was coy when asked about Fernandez, and we await to see if there is any change of approach in that regard from the Chelsea manager. He is also set to be quizzed on the latest injury news within his squad.
