Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has reportedly flown to Finland for an injury check-up ahead of a potential permanent exit from Anfield, with a return to former club Celta Vigo understood to be the most likely destination.

Stefan Bajcetic has reportedly travelled to Finland to consult with the surgeon who operated on him ahead of a possible departure from Liverpool.
The midfielder is being strongly linked with a return to Spanish club Celta Vigo. The Reds acquired him from the La Liga outfit in 2021 shortly after he drew comparisons to Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets. He broke into the first team in 2022 and appeared destined to be the midfield anchor for years ahead.
However, a calf problem hampered his progress and sidelined him for most of the 2023-24 season. The 21 year old then struggled to make an impact during loan spells at Red Bull Salzburg and Las Palmas.

With just one year remaining on his Anfield contract, a permanent departure appears increasingly probable. Andoni Iraola is also understood not to feature him in his plans, suggesting the youngster's time at the club is drawing to a close.
According to reports in Spain, a return to Celta Vigo represents the most probable destination, while Faro de Vigo claim that Bajcetic is being urged to terminate his Reds contract prematurely to facilitate a move to his former side.
He has reportedly flown to Finland for a medical assessment of his injury concerns with a view to obtaining medical clearance ahead of a potential transfer. Celta Vigo head coach Claudio Giráldez recently suggested he would welcome Bajcetic back with open arms.
He said: "If he's happy and we can reach an agreement, it would be a good situation.

"And, on top of that, we have a very good relationship. I coached him. If it happens, great, but I don't talk about players we don't have."
Liverpool have already offloaded Curtis Jones to Inter Milan. Despite Iraola seemingly lacking depth in midfield, it's understood they are not pursuing additional central midfielders.
Instead, they are seeking to strengthen their attacking options, with Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola still being touted for a potential Premier League record-breaking transfer to Anfield.
