West Ham United have all but agreed a deal to sign Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, according to transfer reporter Ben Jacobs. The Hammers now need to decide whether to proceed with the move or pursue Viking winger Edvin Austbø instead.
Jacobs said: “Reiss Nelson is probably the one to watch. It’s effectively agreed in principle, and West Ham are deciding whether to proceed. There are other options as well. The highly regarded Viking winger Edvin Austbø… but the Reiss Nelson one is the most advanced deal. It’s kind of less about the club-to-club and more about whether West Ham… want to pull the trigger on that one.”
Nelson, 26, has made 71 Premier League appearances and is entering the final year of his Arsenal contract. He has had several loan spells in recent seasons and has dealt with injury issues. West Ham previously appeared to walk away because of those concerns but have now revisited the deal.

Austbø is seen as a more progressive, long-term option who can play on the left or in midfield. Jacobs described him as a creative and progressive passer with the potential to add more goal contributions and eventually play in the Premier League.
