Everton could have an opportunity to move for Jean-Mattéo Bahoya before the transfer deadline, with Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly prepared to sell the winger.
The Blues were linked with the 21-year-old last week when Guardian journalist Ed Aarons reported that David Moyes wanted another option on the left.
Frankfurt are now willing to consider offers for Bahoya, according to German reports citing Sky Sport.
The France Under-21 international is under contract until 2029, and there has been no suggestion that Frankfurt need to sell.
Everton are also not alone in showing an interest, with Tottenham among the clubs previously linked with him.
Bahoya has pace to trouble Premier League defenders
Bahoya joined Frankfurt from Angers in January 2024 and has since established himself in the Bundesliga.
He also holds an unusual record.
Bahoya was clocked at 37.16km/h against Bochum in March 2025, the fastest speed recorded by a Bundesliga player since the league began collecting the data.
His ability to carry the ball is another part of his game.
Sky Sports reported that Bahoya averaged 2.78 successful take-ons per 90 minutes last season, a figure which put him among the leading wingers across Europe’s major leagues.
That profile would offer Moyes something different on Everton’s left side.
For now, there is no reported bid from Everton and no indication that talks have taken place with Frankfurt.
The change is that the German club are prepared to listen to offers.
With Bahoya already on Everton’s list, that could matter before the window closes.
