Chelsea begin their Carabao Cup campaign against Luton Town at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening.
The second-round tie will be Xabi Alonso’s first competitive home match as Chelsea head coach, following Monday’s 3-2 Premier League victory over Fulham.

Chelsea vs Luton will be shown live in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports Football.

The match takes place on Thursday 27 August and kicks off at 7.30pm BST.

Alonso is expected to rotate after the Fulham victory exposed several important tactical decisions.
Mike Penders, Estevao and Danny Welbeck are among the players pushing to start, while Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and João Pedro could be protected before Sunday’s Premier League match against Brighton.
