So yesterday in Jacksonville, media was not allowed to stand closer than 100-plus yards from 1-on-1 drills featuring Bucs defensive linemen and edge rushers versus the Jaguars’ offensive line.
A couple of Tampa-based Bucs media types brokes the rules, but they were run off from the area like Joe to trying enter the Team Glazer suite on game days. This was not a drill for which the teams wanted the raw truth shared to media.
However, the Bucs’ in-house cameras had a front-row seat and delivered the highlight reel below featuring Vita Vea, Calijah Kancey, Rueben Bain and Elijah Simmons getting to the “quarterback” spot on their pass rushers.
What intrigued Joe, in addition to Jaguars center Robert Hainsey getting clowned, was Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht right in the mix during the drill.
No, Licht was playing, but he was standing inches from the players and can be heard below barking, “Get to him!” to Bain.
Joe will reserve comment on Licht’s leg sleeve.
